Background Painting

Before working in the animation field I had already been digitally painting for years on my own, enjoying and exploring Photoshop.  It was truly a delight to find out that there was a place I could apply these skills when I was hired in 1995 to work at Nelvana...  and so my love affair with animation began.   
Painting backgrounds is truly fascinating to me as each show has a different style, presenting new and exciting challenges.  Seeing the animation combined with the painted backgrounds is always magical to me.
Over the years I  have had the opportunity to learn many aspects of animation and I'm always open to learning and experiencing more.
